Gallatin Police are encouraging people to use a “safe transaction zone” after recent robberies.
A convicted felon robbed 2 people after planning transactions with them through Facebook Marketplace and in both situations, the man flashed a weapon to intimidate the sellers. Luckily they were able to track him down and arrest him, but police are now just reminding residents that there is a “transaction safe place” in the parking lot of their police station, which is open and monitored 24/7.
