We’re about to see THIS on the roads of Middle Tennessee… for real this time.
Those Waymo self-driving cars have been spotted across the area over the last few months, but soon- they truly will be driverless. Up until now, there’s been a person behind the wheel, but in the coming days, Waymo is planning on letting the vehicles loose on their own as the final step before the public can use them.
Locally, police officers have also been taught the protocols for handling the vehicles in different situations, like if they’re involved in an accident.
