This change will help nonprofits operate easier in Hendersonville.
The city is now waiving fees for qualifying nonprofits which will could save them tens of thousands of dollars. The tree bank fee that was in place had builders pay for the cost of replacing trees that were cut down for their property. For one nonprofit, that fee was about $60,000!
They’ve also taken away the fee for nonprofits placing signs along roads for things like cookie sales, car washes and more. This is a great idea to help that money go towards people in need in the community!
