This is really cool.. this year, the Nashville Zoo hit a record by producing just under 7,000 tadpoles and now, they’re releasing them in native ponds in Puerto Rico.
The tadpoles are an endangered species called the Puerto Rican Crested Toad and the zoo is helping with conservation efforts to protect them and to also learn more about them and their challenges in the wild. Our Nashville Zoo Amphibian Conservation Specialist is in Puerto Rico to assist.
