A lot of online shopping is going on right now, and the Better Business Bureau is offering tips to help you avoid getting scammed online.
A big piece of advice is to look for an “S” after the “HTTP” in your browser bar. This is just a way to verify that this is a secure website. Also this is a good one: when a pop-up ad comes up, resist the urge to click it and just go to the retailer’s site on your own.
