Great Smoky Mountains National Park Staying Open Amid Federal Shutdown

There are lots of families headed out for Fall break destinations, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is putting the word out that they’ll be open through October 19th. It’s a nine-day extension to keep the park operational during the federal government shutdown. So that’s still an option for you.
