Local Boy Scout Hopes To Become Eagle Scout Thanks To This Patriotic Project

A Boy Scout in Kingston Springs is making news today after building American flag drop-off boxes for his community.

17 year old Jake Slanaker built the boxes as his Eagle Scout project after hearing his dad and uncle talk about how many people would come in to drop off flags that need to be retired because of color fading or damage. There are 4 new boxes throughout Franklin and Kingston Springs thanks to Jake.
