Harmful algae blooms are popping up across the country. As of now, some warnings have been issued in Kansas, Utah, Illinois, Michigan and Ohio this year. When this happens, drinking, swimming and sometimes even fishing can be impacted due to the potentially dangerous algae.
accidentally ingesting the blooms could cause some major health issues like vomiting, kidney and liver damage and more. As of now, we haven’t seen any reports of the algae blooms in Middle TN.
