If you’re headed out there to Gatlinburg this Summer, here’s something to keep in mind.. peak tick season is here.
Health experts are warning residents that while ticks can be active year-round, they’re most active during the warmer months which means there’s a higher chance of getting bit and potentially get a tick-borne disease.
Experts are giving some tips to prevent tick bites, like wearing light-colored clothing so you can spot them easier, also tucking your pants into your socks while walking in grassy or wooded areas and avoiding tall grass and leaf litter when possible. Get more on this HERE
