(Nashville, TN)—-A Nashville Zoo visitor was trying to take a selfie and sandy the spider monkey totally snatched the phone and carried it around by the popsocket. Steven Matthews, who was visiting the zoo at the time, caught photos and videos of the employees using sticks through a fence an attempt to return the phone. One of the monkeys grabbed the phone and carried it by the popsocket on the back as it walked along the exhibit’s tree branches. It continued to try to pull the round handle off the phone until dropping it several feet to the ground. It’s a good thing the phone has a case on it, because the monkey didn’t care about being gentle.
