We’ve been keeping you in the loop of all the scams going around right now and with it being tax season, this one seems important to pass along.
The Better Business Bureau is warning that scams are happening often where people are calling and pretending to be with your bank. The craziest thing is, they may have a lot of personal info that makes you think they’re legit, like they might know your birthday and the last 4 digits of your social security number.
A woman here in Nashville actually just lost almost $2000 by a scammer doing this. The Better Business Bureau is encouraging people go to their bank’s app OR to the bank in person if you get a call like this and never provide info over the phone unless you can confirm it’s a legitimate source.
