Out in Cheatham County, some police officers were recognized for their bravery.
Lieutenant Shannon Heflin and Narcotics agent Paul Ivey were recognized for their efforts while assisting with a small plane crash in September. Lieutenant Heflin has served the county for 29 years which is just incredible.
A K-9 named Loretta, also known as “The Cheatham County Drug Dog” was also recognized for her decade of service. Loretta’s last day of service was on New Year’s Eve.
