A school resource officer is making sure all her students and their families are fed over Christmas break.
Rutherford County SRO, Summer Higgins knows the challenges that some of her students are going through at home with food and housing insecurity and wanted to make a difference this year by collecting food items which she will deliver to the families.
Supplies like canned tuna, pasta, pop-tarts and mac and cheese could help families out in the 2 weeks off of school. If you want to donate something, you can bring it to the Sheriff’s Office on New Salem Highway. Details HERE
