NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) —”Governor Bill Lee and Education Commissioner Penny Schwinn announced the COVID-19 Child Wellbeing Task Force and its goals in light of extended school closures. State officials said in a press release, the task force was created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and “aims to help communities come together to check on our kids.” It will support the holistic needs of Tennessee children and respond to the pandemic’s long-term effects on schools and students.”
