One of our favorite annual competitions takes place next week and a local 8th grader is preparing for her big moment.
Mina Chen is preparing for the Scripps National Spelling Bee next week as she’s one of 245 students nationwide who will compete for $50,000! Going to the competition has been a goal for her since 2nd grade so she’s already extremely excited for the competition and to prepare, she’s been studying a 4 thousand word list.. all which could come up in competition!
