Move over boots, it’s all about the barnacles.
Nashville is considering using a new way of immobilizing vehicles who are parked illegally. These “barnacles” are plastic yellow mats that are attached to the windshield of a car with strong suction cups.
It’s apparently easier for parking enforcement to install and you’d be able to remove it yourself without needing to call somebody and wait. If you get busted, you can scan the QR code to pay the fine and then it’ll send you a code to type into the barnacle and disarm it.
