Forget about No Shave November.. it’s time for “No Mow Month.”
For all of April, a Nashville non-profit called the Cumberland River Compact is asking residents to avoid mowing their lawns. They say this is in an effort to improve water quality, reduces carbon emissions and creates healthy habits.
They’ve partnered with the city and Metro Codes department so that residents who keep their grass below 12 inches won’t face any violations. If you have an HOA, you’ll have to check with them, but anybody who registers will receive a sign that they can place in their front yard.
