With the winter weather, there’s a lot of concern over power outages, especially after what happened last Christmas time, with that deep freeze.
Since then, the Nashville Electric Service committed to a better alert system for outages and have rolled out “push notifications” for customers. As of right now, it’s in the early stages of the roll-out, but they have about 20,000 people as of now in the system. NES customers listed as the primary contact should have their cell number updated on their account if they want to receive these messages and you can also find outages on the NES online map.
