We knew this was gonna happen and now it’s official.. free parking is about to be non-existent in downtown Nashville.
The NDOT is set to install dozens of more paid meters in more than 40 areas downtown. They say that the money made from the parking program will be going to things like sidewalks, signals, new roads and bike lanes. Many residents say this is just another reason why they avoid going downtown. It’s also a good warning if you do park downtown, make sure to check for signs because they’re giving 2 week warnings before putting in the meters.
