A new program kicked off in town yesterday, Metro Nashville officially launched the new curbside food scraps pick-up program.. which is an attempt to reduce food waste in landfills.
As of now, the program is just in the pilot stage and they aren’t accepting any other households, but if it goes well, you can expect the program to grow. If you weren’t able to be a part of it, you can still visit Metro Waste Services’ Convenience Centers to drop off compostable materials OR you can try your hand at composting at home, find out info HERE
