Gallatin is considering charging impact fees for new construction projects.
Like everywhere right now, they’re seeing a lot of construction and growth and there’s about 8 thousand new units currently being built.. if they charged a $750 fee per those units, that’s an additional $6 million that the city makes. They’re also talking about impact fees could hurt locals by raising the price of rent on those units.. so lots to discuss, but it is interesting..
