Starting July 1st, your phone won’t be going off as much! The new “Do Not Text” law is going into effect in Tennessee which should help stop all those unwanted texts from solicitors.
Under the new law, anybody who sends a text encouraging the purchase or rental of property, goods or services could a fine up to $2,000 per violation. This law doesn’t count for communication where you’ve given permission to be contacted like if you’re an existing customer at the business who is texting you.
