A Nashville woman just fell victim to a Facebook scam
– she put her home up for sale about a week ago, but has been getting people coming to her door asking to see a rental
– they led her to a fake Facebook post which used her realtor’s photos and made multiple listings for a monthly rental
– if you’re looking to rent or buy a home realtors suggest speaking to an agent who knows the area as these scams are becoming more popular
Speaking of scams- metro police are currently searching for a woman involved in an ongoing phone scam
– apparently in the scam, you’ll receive a call from a male saying he’s with the sheriff’s office and orders you to meet at a courtyard downtown to pay a fine
– then a woman meets you there to collect the money and have you “sign paperwork”
– she then leaves to “make copies” of the paperwork and never returns.. leaving with your money

The Tennessee Department of Education just released district-specific test scores for last school year
– good news is that 27 percent of Metro Nashville Public School students are reading at grade level which is up from 19% in the year before
– math scores are also up, but still not near what they were pre-pandemic
There’s lots of new babies at the zoo!
– earlier this week, we told you about the new bontebok that was born.. and now, the zoo welcomed 2 new clouded leopard cubs- a girl and a boy!
– the zoo has 16 clouded leopards and is considered a leader in clouded leopard conservation
I know we keep talking about Stranger Things.. but this is just so exciting..
– we heard rumors about this late last week, but now a spin-off is OFFICIALLY coming..
– the Duffer Brothers confirmed that the spinoff is based off an original idea they’d come up with and there will be a connection to Stranger Things, but no focus on the current main characters
– I’m sure we’ll only have to wait another 7 years to see this! The countdown starts now!
