Restoration is underway over at the Old DeMoss Cemetery in Bellevue.
The cemetery is historic and is the resting place of Abraham DeMoss who fought in the Revolution and settled Bellevue, giving the town it’s name, which in French means beautiful view. The first grave that’s been found as of now in the cemetery actually goes back to 1810, and more than 70 of the graves are from before the Civil War.
The Bellevue Harpeth Historic Association is currently working on some restoration efforts.
