After an incredible season, now this local coach is being honored in a major way.
Congratulations are in order for Vanderbilt Women’s Basketball coach Shea Ralph, because she was just named the AP Coach of the Year! In her 5th year as the head coach, she’s the first head coach at Vandy to win the title. It’s been an incredible season for Coach Ralph on and off the court.
With this new award, she SWEEPS all of the major national awards for the year. She was also honored by the WBCA and the USBWA and was named the Naismith Women’s Coach of the Year this season.. so she took home 7 awards this season and says “she is a coach because she loves basketball, but she gets to lead women and impact lives positively. That’s her real job.”
