A piece of Nashville history is staying put.. for now, at least!
A week or so ago, we talked about Acme Feed and Seed’s owner who made the community aware of high property taxes and how that may affect the future of the business. The property taxes went up significantly in the last year, making it really difficult to stay open. They just released a statement online saying they paid a portion of the taxes and now are waiting for their first appeal on September 1st.
They aren’t the first historic, local business to come out and talk about the tax increase. I’m hoping we can find a way to keep these businesses alive here.
