Things are going to look really different downtown on South First Street.
Since the ’60s, the SA Recycling facility and scrapyard has taken up a large stretch of land, filled with machines and trucks. Now, it was sold and is on the way to redevelopment into a livable space. Some long-time residents are excited for the change, while others are sad to watch their favorite fireworks viewing location go!
This project will take a few years to complete and a public hearing will be held tomorrow night for residents who want to weight in on the new East Bank neighborhood.
