NDOT could soon add traffic cameras in Nashville school zones.
As part of their “Vision Zero Plan,” NDOT wants to install the cameras to deter drivers from speeding near schools. This is a similar program to what’s in place in other cities across the state, like Chattanooga and Memphis. If Metro Council approves it, they’ll launch a pilot program with 15 cameras in high-injury school zones.
