Pork Chops in Garlic Mushroom Sauce
2-3 pork chops
2 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp flour
2 cloves of garlic minced
Salt
Pepper
Paprika
About 1.5 cups of beef stock
1 shallot
About 4 oz of mushrooms
Salt, pepper and add paprika to both sides of pork chops. Add 1 tablespoon of butter to pre-heated skillet and cook each side 2-3 minutes until golden – longer if your pork chops are thick. Remove from heat and set aside. Add chopped shallots to same pan and cook 2-3 minutes, add rest of butter and mushrooms and cover. Continue cooking 3-4 minutes, then add minced garlic and continue cooking 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant. Add flour and incorporate with shallot & mushrooms – let cook for a couple of minutes before adding stock. Slowly add stock, continuously stirring – you may need to raise the heat a little to get a simmer. Once sauce thickens, add mushrooms and simmer for a few more minutes and enjoy!
*You may need to double up on ingredients if you’ve got a larger crowd to feed*
