It’s Fire Prevention Week and this year, the Nashville Fire Department is hoping that residents will focus on lithium battery safety.
The theme is “Charge into Fire Safety” and will look at the safe use of lithium-ion batteries and the importance of buying, charging and recycling them safely. They’re also hoping that families will take time this week to create an escape plan in case of emergency – detailing 2 exits per room, figuring out a meeting spot outside of the home and practicing your escape route.
