The Emmys were last night and it was really great to see our local guy Nate Bargatze up there for his first time hosting the show.
His opening monologue was hilarious, it was kind of a spoof of his viral SNL George Washington skit, but this time, Nate was the inventor of television! He also issued this hilarious challenge to the winners where he started with a $100,000 donation for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America and it was up to the winners to raise or lower that amount based on how long their speeches ran.
Honestly, it was just a really fun running joke throughout the night!
Winners-wise: it was all over the place! The Pitt, Severance, Adolescence and The Studio ruled the night. The Studio actually broke records in the comedy category by taking home 12 awards.

One of my personal favorite moments and speeches of the night was Tramell Tillman after he made history as the first Black actor to win in the “Supporting Drama Actor” category for his role in Severance. Watch that below:
