The trustee’s office is holding enrollment sessions at city halls across the county so that seniors can apply for the property tax relief programs.
Residents over 65 who meet income requirements can apply and basically if you’re accepted, the program freezes your tax bills at the amount that you paid the year you applied, which in turn, should be a lot more manageable in the future if the property value increases or tax rate changes.
