Just be aware of this – NES is warning customers about some scammers posing as NES workers.
Scammers have been threatening to cut off power to customers unless money is sent immediately and they’ve been going further than just calling and texting.. in some cases, they showed up at people’s homes. Officials want the public to know that NES will never demand payment in this way, all of their workers wear uniforms and drive marked cars.
If somebody comes to your door unannounced, ask them for an ID or call NES directly before allowing anybody to touch anything. Details HERE
