- Mariah Carey is releasing MC16! She just confirmed that her new studio album is called Here For It All, and will be released on September 26 via Gamma. Mariah dropped the details on social media Monday morning in a brief video that shows her strutting in spike heels, culminating with a snippet of her singing the title track. “Here For It All 🦋 My new album out 9/26 🦋 Pre-order now!,” she captioned the clip. The album campaign kicked off with her single “Type Dangerous” in early June, co-written and co-produced with Anderson .Paak, who is also rumored to be an executive producer on the project.
- Def Leppard will be returning to Las Vegas for a month-long residency early next year. The band announced ‘Def Leppard Live at Caesars Palace: The Las Vegas Residency’, taking place February 3-28 at The Colosseum. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, July 25th. Joe Elliott said “Las Vegas has always been such a main attraction for Def Leppard… There’s no place on earth where you can have the likes of Adele, U2 and The Eagles all playing sold out shows on the same night!” It will be the band’s third Vegas residency.
- Malcolm-Jamal Warner, known for portraying Theo Huxtable on The Cosby Show, has died. He was 54. Costa Rican National Police said Warner drowned off the coast of Costa Rica on Sunday. Warner’s official cause of death was asphyxia. Authorities said Warner was caught by a high current in the water and was discovered near Cocles Beach, in Limon, Costa Rica, on Sunday afternoon. Warner grew up on The Cosby Show from 1984 to 1992. He continued acting in his sitcom, Malcolm and Eddie. Warner was a voice actor on the 90s animated series, The Magic School Bus. He also appeared in many episodes of The Resident, Reed Between The Lines, and Major Crimes. He also produced and directed many shows. Warner won a Grammy in 2015 for Best Traditional R&B Performance. He had just started a podcast titled Not All Hood.
