- Ariana Grande and Josh Gad have joined the voice cast for the upcoming animated musical feature “Oh, the Places You’ll Go,” based on the Dr. Seuss book. The movie, directed by Jon M. Chu, will feature original songs by Pasek and Paul and is set to hit theaters on March 2028. Grande and Gad shared their excitement for the project on social media, with Gad expressing his enthusiasm for the all-star team involved in the production. Chu, known for his work on “Wicked” and “In the Heights,” is also working on several other projects, including a film adaptation of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.”
- A live-action version of My Little Pony is coming to movie theaters. Amazon MGM Studios, and Hasbro Entertainment are developing the film. My Little Pony has been around since 1982. Since then, the characters have been featured in animated television shows and movies. The new project will be the first live-action adaptation. My Little Pony was recently inducted into the Toy Hall of Fame.
- The Whitney Houston Foundation is auctioning some of the late singer’s memorabilia. Julien’s Auctions will host the auction to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Houston’s music debut. Pat Houston, executor of Whitney’s estate, said, “For Whitney’s 40th Anniversary, we have some of her unique and one-of-a-kind items and garments that Whitney wore on stage and at various A-list events and at home. Gathering those items brought back so many memories. We look forward to previewing this year’s collection with her supporters globally.” The auction will raise money for scholarships benefiting students studying the arts at Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
