We’re almost to the other side of the heat dome, but until then, here’s something to keep in mind.
Nashville Electric Service and the Tennessee Valley Authority are asking customers to turn their thermostats up in order to conserve energy. They’re asking residents to have it set at close to 78 degrees, if possible.
They know that’s still way too hot so they did offer tips on how to cool your place down without using as much energy like running ceiling fans, putting off dishwashing and laundry until after peak times, and turning lights off when you leave the room.
