Yikes, things could get a little more costly over in Mt Juliet.
The city council is currently debating if the property tax should be increased to 44 cents per $100 assessed value. That means that taxes could be quadrupled!
Mt Juliet has the 5th lowest tax rate in Tennessee, which may seem great, however, that doesn’t even cover the cost of the fire department. They’ll discuss this more tonight at their regularly scheduled commission meeting.
