- Amazon Says They Are Going To Replace Jobs With AI In The Future: The head of Amazon says AI will shrink its workforce in the coming years. CEO Andy Jassy sent a memo to employees yesterday saying the increasing use of artificial intelligence will eliminate the need for certain jobs. Jassy wrote that Amazon employees should learn how to use AI tools and figure out how to get more done with “scrappier teams.” Jassy added “It’s hard to know exactly where this nets out over time, but in the next few years, we expect that this will reduce our total corporate workforce.” Nearly one-in-four U.S. tech jobs posted so far this year are seeking employees with artificial-intelligence skills.
- Netflix To Open Brick And Mortar Netflix House: Netflix is opening a chain of entertainment venues. Netflix House will open near Philadelphia, Dallas, and in Las Vegas. The more than 100-thousand square feet venues will feature experiences inspired by “Wednesday,” “Squid Game,” “One Piece” and “Stranger Things” along with other shows. Philly and Dallas will also include Netflix Bites, a restaurant.
