A new drone team is helping fight crime in Middle Tennessee.
La Vergne PD is forming a new team of drones, which could help reduce response times for residents. They have 8 drones currently, 5 will be used for the public and the other 3 for training. These can be used for many things like missing persons cases, search and rescue, officer safety and more.
