The area around these Nashville schools is about to be safer than ever before.
About 20 schools are getting road safety improvements during the Summer break. These include new pavement striping, radar feedback signs so drivers can see how fast they’re going, also flashing “school zone” beacons and more.
The project hopes to reduce speed and improve crosswalk visibility in the school zones which would make it safer for students. All of the projects should be completed by time the new school year begins in August.
