Nolensville Police are warning residents of predatory towing in a parking lot near the Nolensville Farmer’s Market.
According to Tennessee law, towing companies can charge up to $100 for a drop fee when your car gets towed, however, some people have been charged almost $400 after being towed from the lot adjacent from the farmers market. This has happened over the last few weekends, and just to clarify, the police are are saying it’s not the actual towing that’s the problem because the property owners have the right to do that but, it’s the towing company’s costs which violate the law.
