In just 5 weeks, over 2,200 doses of naloxone have been dispensed from the new, free vending machine on the West End in Nashville.
The machine was put into place by the Metro Nashville Health Department just a month ago, and they said they expected to fill it once a week, however, they’ve been filling it 3 times a week since it was installed. This is Nashville’s first naloxone machine and the department plans to expand the program.
