Mornings could look different next school year for Rutherford County families.
Bus service could be cut for students living close to campus in what the district is calling a “Parent Responsibility Zone.” If it moves forward, families who live within a mile from school would be responsible for walking or getting a ride to school on their own.
The district says this would save them more than $1 million and the need for 15 buses. The board will meet tonight to keep discussing the idea. Read more about it HERE
