- The United States Postal Service is looking to raise the price of first-class mail stamps to 78 cents from 73 cents effective July 13th. That would raise mailing service product prices by over 7%. USPS also wants to raise the price of sending postcards but those details aren’t exact at this time.
- ‘Molecular Therapy’ shares that American and Finnish scientists have developed a chewing gum that can trap and neutralize some flu and herpes viruses. The gum’s made from a bean powder that contains a protein known to trap and equalize the viruses, including bird flu. One UPenn professor shared, “By targeting viruses where they spread most efficiently, in the oral cavity, this product could address a major gap in healthcare.” Human trials will begin soon with researchers hoping the special type of gum, which is shelf stable for 800 days, eliminates other viruses.
- Subway is dropping, for a limited time around Easter, a Cadbury Creme Egg Sub Melt. It’s exactly what it sounds like – a Subway roll filled with melted Cadbury Creme eggs. Subway had first debuted this sub back in 2023, with the internet divided on the sandwich.
