RECAP Mix 92.9 Presents Tin Pan South Inside Analog At Hutton Hotel

Um, about last week…

Holy cow what an incredible experience it was as Mix 92.9 presents Tin Pan South Inside Analog at Hutton Hotel. We had such a wonderful time hearing the stories behind the music and getting to know these amazing songwriters just a little bit better.

For starters, Jamie Floyd who is a three time Grammy-nominated independent songwriter & recording artist, wrote songs for Kelly Clarkson, Kesha, Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys, Ashley Monroe, Miranda Lambert, Ronnie Dunn, Brian McKnight, Jake Hoot, Cassadee Pope, Hayden Panettiere, Kellie Pickler, and more. She’s also the composer for a new Broadway musical The King’s Wife.

Matt Bloyd is no stranger to the music scene. An established voice and name in the music industry, he has worked with some of the most legendary voices in the industry, including Lady Gaga, U2, Billie Eilish, Lil Nash X, and David Foster.

Chrissy Metz who everyone knows from the hit TV show This Is Us, wowed the audience with her original songs. Chrissy recently starred as Joyce Smith in the hit 20th Century Fox faith-based film, BREAKTHROUGH. She also performs “I’m Standing With You” on the Breakthrough soundtrack, written by 10-time Academy Award nominee Diane Warren. Chrissy performed this song at the 2019 ACM Awards. Chrissy is currently working on her debut country album.

Finally, Louis York is an American band formed by Claude Kelly and Chuck Harmony. Together they have written and produced tracks for artists including Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Britney Spears, Mary J. Blige, Kelly Clarkson, Jessie J and Miley Cyrus.

The evening was full of fun banter, some laughs, some tears, and genuine heartfelt stories told through song. I was so honored to be a small part of it by getting to introduce these amazingly talented people and watch their performances.

If you haven’t attended a Tin Pan South Songwriter’s Festival event yet, I suggest you make your plans for next year. You won’t be disappointed.
