- The first total lunar eclipse takes place this Thursday and Friday; the first since November 2022. Earth blocks sunlight that normally reaches the moon, causing what some also call a โblood moonโ due to our planetโs shadow looks red. The eclipse will begin in the US on Thursday at 11:57pm EST, reach its totality at around 2:30am EST and end Friday at around 6am.
- Online home goods company Wayfair is slashing its workforce by 340 tech employee positions. This marks the second round of layoffs that Wayfair has initiated since 2025 began. In January, the e-commerce retailer cut 730 jobs as it exited its Germany operations. The company has positioned its new job cuts as a streamlining move, designed to deliver โlong-term success.โ The 340 lost positions will come as the company closes its Technology Development Center located in Austin, Texas. - Two Stranded Astronauts Will Return To Earth This Weekend: Two astronauts stuck aboard the International Space Station since June are set to make the trip home this week. A NASA SpaceX mission is scheduled to launch from the Kennedy Space Center this evening. Itโs carrying a four-member team to the ISS, where they will relieve Butch Wilmore and Suni [[ Sunny ]] Williams, who have been on the station since their Boeing Starliner spacecraft suffered issues and was deemed unsafe for them to return to Earth in eight months ago. The ship is expected to dock early tomorrow, then return on March 16th for a splashdown off the coast of Florida.
