The first performers who’ll be taking the stage at the Grammy Awards next month have been announced.
Best new artist nominees Benson Boone, Teddy Swims, Sabrina Carpenter, Doechii and RAYE will all perform, as will Shakira, Billie Eilish and Charli XCX. Charli is up for eight Grammys this year; Billie has seven nods. Chappell and Sabrina each have six, while RAYE and Doechii have three each. Benson, Teddy and Shakira each have one.
The Grammys, hosted by Trevor Noah, will air on CBS Feb. 2, live from Crypto.com Arena in LA starting at 8 p.m. ET. The Recording Academy has said that this year’s show will “carry a renewed sense of purpose: raising additional funds to support Los Angeles wildfire relief efforts and honoring the bravery and dedication of first responders who risk their lives to protect others.”
So far, the Recording Academy and its charitable arm, MusiCares, have raised and pledged more than $3.2 million in emergency aid to those in the music industry affected by the deadly LA wildfires.
