Perhaps the prediction that 2025 will mark Justin Bieber‘s return to music will come true after all.
Justin’s been posting multiple photos of his trip to Colorado, and in between pics of himself tromping around in the snow, ice skating and submerging himself into an icy stream wearing just his underwear, he’s sneaked in a few photos of himself making music. In one photo dump, he can be seen behind the drums in a studio and singing into a microphone.
In another photo dump, he’s singing into a mic while sitting in front of a laptop in what’s clearly a studio setup.
If Justin releases a new album, it’ll be his first since 2021’s Justice, which spun off the hits “Peaches,” “Holy,” “Anyone,” “Hold On,” “Ghost” and “Lonely.” However, in 2023 he recorded collaborations with Don Toliver and SZA, and last year he performed at the wedding celebration for an Indian billionaire’s son.
Earlier in January, Puck‘s Matthew Belloni wrote in his What I’m Hearing column, “Despite the $200 million sale of his catalog in 2023, I’m told Bieber needs the money and wants to work.”
As for why he needs money, Belloni claimed that Justin “still owes [concert promoter] AEG a ton for his canceled tour, among other pop star expenses.” In 2022 Justin canceled the remainder of his Justice world tour after being diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which paralyzed the right side of his face.
