The “Protect Tennessee Minors Act” has been temporarily blocked. The law would set age restrictions on social media and online sites found harmful to minors, including TikTok and porn. The federal judge who put the law on hold cited freedom of speech concerns. Lawmakers pushing FOR it, say adults regularly have to prove age to do things kids can’t, like buy guns, go to bars and vote. One lawmaker claims that it comes down to how much money the sites make off of kids.
