It was only approved 2 days ago and leaders are already working on getting Nashville’s “Choose How You Move” plan on the move.
To get things rolling, a chief program officer will be hired to oversee the transit plan and the Metro Finance Department will meet with businesses and contractors. Mayor O’Connell says the project will start small with sidewalks, smart traffic light replacements and new fare programs for WeGo.
WeGo will also work to slowly expand to 24/7 service by purchasing more buses and hiring more drivers. Larger plans will come after that like the new transit hubs and bus lanes. More HERE
